Sheet A-1 · Roof assembly

Five layers between your house and the next hailstorm.

A roof is a system, not a surface. Scroll the section — each layer goes on in the order a crew installs it.

  1. 01 Layer · Structure

    Roof deck

The sheathing fastened across the rafters. Every layer above it is only as sound as this one.

    See S-01 · Roof Replacement →
  2. 02 Layer · Secondary barrier

    Underlayment

A water-shedding membrane over the deck — the backup that keeps wind-driven rain out if a shingle lifts.

    See S-02 · Free Storm Inspections →
  3. 03 Layer · Edges & penetrations

    Flashing

Metal at the eaves, valleys, walls and pipe boots — the joints where most leaks begin.

    See S-04 · Leak Repair →
  4. 04 Layer · Weather surface

    Shingles

Overlapping courses that shed water down-slope and take the hail: architectural shingle, metal, or tile.

    See S-01 · Roof Replacement →
  5. 05 Layer · Ventilation

    Ridge vent

A vented cap along the peak that lets hot attic air out — airflow that extends shingle life.

Sheet S-2 · Scope of work

Repair it, replace it, or get it storm-ready.

  6. S-06

    Commercial Roofing

TPO, modified bitumen, and metal systems for offices and retail — installed nights and weekends to keep you open.

The Ironline difference · General notes

Built by roofers. Run like a company you can trust.

  1. 1.

After the 2012 hail season, too many DFW homeowners got burned by storm-chasing outfits that vanished when the warranty calls started. Ironline was founded to be the opposite: local crews, a real office you can walk into, and owners whose names are on every contract.

  2. 2.

We’re one of the few GAF Master Elite® contractors in Texas — a certification held by fewer than 2% of roofing companies in North America — which lets us offer manufacturer-backed warranties others can’t.

  • Our own W-2 crews — no day-labor subcontractors
  • Drone inspection report you keep, free
  • Manufacturer-backed 25-year warranties
  • A+ BBB rating, 11 years running

Sheet R-4 · Field reports · Homeowner reviews

DFW homeowners don’t hand out trust easily.

  • Report R-01 ★★★★★

Hail totaled our roof. Ironline met the adjuster, got the full replacement approved, and we paid our deductible. New roof in one day.

    Ken & Dana P.Homeowners · Plano

  • Report R-02 ★★★★★

Two other companies quoted a full replacement. Ironline fixed the flashing for $480 and said the roof was fine. Guess who’s doing our replacement when it’s actually time.

    Sandra M.Homeowner · Richardson

  • Report R-03 ★★★★★

Crew showed at 7am, done by 6pm, and they magnet-swept the lawn twice — my kids haven’t found a single nail. The drone report alone was worth the call.

Sheet Q-5 · Questions

What homeowners ask us first.

Q.01Is the inspection really free?

Yes — including the drone photos and written report, with no obligation. We win enough business on the findings that we don’t need to charge for them.

Q.02Will filing a claim raise my insurance rates?

Storm damage is an “act of God” claim, which in Texas can’t be used to single you out for a rate increase. Rates move by region after big storms whether you file or not — so file.

Q.03How long does a replacement take?

Most single-family homes are done in one day; large or steep roofs take two. We never leave a roof exposed overnight.

Q.04What does the 25-year warranty actually cover?

Workmanship — meaning if anything we installed leaks or fails, we fix it free for 25 years. Manufacturer defects are covered separately by GAF for up to 50 years on qualifying systems.

Q.05Do you offer financing?

Yes — 12-month same-as-cash and longer fixed-rate terms. Most homeowners use it to cover their deductible and upgrades like ridge venting.
