Collision Repair
Full structural and cosmetic repair to factory specifications, documented with photos at every stage so you — and your insurer — see exactly what was done.
We work with every insurance company, handle the claim paperwork, coordinate your rental, and back every repair with a lifetime workmanship warranty. And remember — New Mexico law says you choose the shop, not your insurer.

Computerized paint matching in a downdraft spray booth. Blended panels, factory-grade clearcoat, and a finish you cannot tell from the original.
Paintless dent repair for hail and door dings — often same-day and cheaper than your deductible. When paint is broken, we repair it the traditional way.
Laser-measured frame straightening on a computerized bench, pulled back to OEM dimensions and verified with printed before/after measurements.
Factory-certified aluminum and EV structural repair, plus static and dynamic calibration of cameras, radar, and driver-assist sensors after any repair.
We photograph, estimate, negotiate supplements, and bill your carrier directly — with every major insurer. You pay your deductible; we handle the rest.
Rio Grande Collision opened in 2008 with one bay off San Mateo and a simple position: the customer picks the shop, the shop answers to the customer. Eighteen years later we run a 22-bay I-CAR Gold Class facility, and that position hasn’t moved an inch.
We invest where it counts — factory certifications for aluminum and EV structural repair, a laser measuring bench, in-house ADAS calibration — so your car leaves the way the engineers who designed it intended. If it isn’t right, bring it back. The workmanship warranty lasts as long as you own the vehicle.
Drive in or send photos. We document the damage, write a line-item estimate, and explain your rights before you commit to anything.
We open or take over the claim, negotiate supplements with your adjuster, and set up your rental car — you make one phone call, ever.
Structural repair to OEM procedures, computerized paint match, and photo documentation at every stage. We text you progress updates.
ADAS sensors recalibrated, quality-control checklist signed, full detail inside and out. You pay your deductible and drive away.
“Got rear-ended on I-25 and my insurer pushed their “preferred” shop hard. Rio Grande told me the law — my car, my choice — then handled the whole claim. New bumper, blended paint, you cannot find the repair.”
“They found frame damage the insurance estimate missed, documented it, and got the supplement approved without me lifting a finger. The laser measurement printout before and after sold me.”
“EV owner here — most shops wouldn’t touch my car. Rio Grande is factory certified, recalibrated all the sensors in-house, and had me back on the road nine days ahead of the dealer’s quote.”
No. New Mexico law gives you the right to choose your repair shop — an insurer can suggest, but cannot require, their “preferred” facility. We work with every major carrier either way, so choosing us costs you nothing extra.
Your deductible is the portion of the repair you pay; your insurer pays the rest directly to us. If the other driver was at fault, their liability coverage should pay 100% and you owe nothing. We’ll tell you which situation you’re in before work starts.
That’s normal — teardown often reveals hidden damage. We document it with photos, file a supplement with your insurer, and get it approved before proceeding. You are never billed for supplement work your carrier authorizes.
Yes. We use your vehicle’s factory paint code, a computerized spectrophotometer reading of the adjacent panels, and blend into neighboring panels so the transition is invisible. Refinish work is covered by the same lifetime warranty.
Cosmetic repairs typically run 3–5 business days; structural repairs 1–3 weeks depending on parts availability. We give you a target date up front, text progress updates, and coordinate your rental for the duration.
Send photos of the damage or stop by — no appointment needed for estimates. Dealing with an insurance claim? Bring the claim number and we’ll take it from there.
